We make unique hardened axle nuts! Titanium alloy Ti6Al4V is most often used without hardening, but we always harden these types of parts to prevent thread galling. We describe our technologies on our website. After hardening, titanium Ti6Al4V becomes 30% stronger and harder (42 HRC!).This avoids the typical problem of thread galling. You may include an additional thread coating (Xylan option). This coating is applied for even greater durability.
